About Kronoscript

Version 0.8.231 beta · Built June 14, 2026
A Kronoscript browser window — the navigation bar across the top and a family post with reactions and comments below.
A place worth coming back to.

A calm place to write what's worth remembering — the memories, and the moments as they unfold. Use it the day a thing happens, not just years later. Share what you choose, with whoever you choose. Over time it becomes your story, in your own voice, with the people who matter.

What is this?

Kronoscript is a passion project that lived as a sketch for years and is finally seeing the light of day. It's not a feed. It's not a journal app. It's a place to put what you'd otherwise lose — the funny thing your kid said this morning, the year you spent in Madrid, the trip you took with your father. We built it to be used daily, not raided once a decade. Some of what you write is today's note; some of it is the chapter you'll print into a book in 2042. The product treats both the same.

Who builds it?

Kronoscript is operated by Kronoscript LLC, a Washington limited liability company. We build the platform end-to-end — product, engineering, editorial — and we keep the team deliberately focused so the product stays calm and the roadmap stays honest.

What that means for you:

  • Features ship when they're ready, not because a calendar says so.
  • Bugs get our attention quickly. Post in the Discussion Forum or message us in chat and we'll triage.
  • No enterprise plan, no SLA tier. A Ko-fi tip jar in the sidebar for anyone who wants to chip in beyond the subscription.
  • Your story is portable. Documented data snapshots and a migration plan, so the platform is never a hostage.

What it costs

Ad-free and private — we don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to AI training sets. Your memories aren't a commodity, and they aren't going to be.

Writing and sharing the core is free forever. Two optional plans support the craft and keep the lights on: Personal ($10/month) adds inline photos, premium typography, audio & video, AI help, your family tree, and your people profiles; Family ($35/month) covers up to six people plus the shared archive (group trees, collaborative memories, a family book). Monthly, cancel anytime. There's also a Ko-fi tip jar in the sidebar — entirely optional — for anyone who just wants to chip in. Subscriptions and tips are what keep it ad-free.

A book spread — a chapter title on the left page, a 1968 family photograph and an opening paragraph on the right.
Stories don't belong on a server. They belong in a book.

Where is it going?

Into the future, carrying the past. We're building features that make organising your memories — and having fun with the writing — a daily habit, not a once-in-a-while archive task. Smarter memory prompts that surface at the right time. Native mobile so the day's thought goes straight in. More ways for the people who were there to add their side. Patience welcomed — the product stays calm, the roadmap stays honest.

A cracked vintage portrait on the left, the same portrait restored on the right.
And the photos that almost didn't make it.
